Specialist verge and banks mowing.

Slopes, verges & embankments are difficult areas to maintain, their location adjacent to carriageways, ditches, waterways or sensitive habitats make operating in or around such conditions difficult.

The HSE have issued much guidance and relevant information on working on slopes and recognises it is a genuine safety concern for, clients contractors and members of the public The HSE identified Bank & Slope Mowing as a high risk activity that should be well planned and executed. Slopes between 20 and 30 degrees are deemed as high risk and require site specific risk assessments, along with specialist pedestrian mowers or traditional brush cutters. These methods have gone some way to reduce risk, but no far enough.

Working on slopes can be largely weather dependent and hazardous for the operator, Guidelines recommend that where banks need to be accessed by contractors work is only carried out in timed sessions, reducing the operator’s exposure to working on uneven or sloped terrain. This makes a relatively simple task hazardous protracted and costly.

Our fleet of state of the art remote controlled grass cutting and vegetation management solutions offer a nationwide service reducing risk and saving time.

Water Management

Our portfolio of water management work extends from domestic water feature design and installation through to large scale construction of ponds and lakes. Working closely with government agencies and national charities our river and waterways work provides solutions for on-going water management, such as dredging, river bank retention schemes and erosion control systems.

We are proud to be leading the way with Bentomat GCL's (Geosynthetic Clay Liners) providing a long lasting proven alternative to traditional rubber liners. These are widely used in the construction of lakes, garden ponds, wetlands, reed beds, swimming ponds, school ponds, golf clubs, Aquaponics & fisheries, as well as more industrial applications such as in SUDS attenuation pond lining projects, anaerobic digestion basins, canal lining and river & stream diversions.

Bentomat is a revolutionary geosynthetic clay pond liner consisting of a layer of bentonite encapsulated between two textiles which are needle-punched together. The result is an easy-to-install, self-healing, self-seaming liner that requires very little maintenance. The swelling properties of the bentonite clay and cushioning of the textiles eliminate the need for seam welding and underlayments. Bentomat CL has the additional benefit of a thin laminated flexible membrane that adds an extra layer of protection to the GCL
